Ron has a broad range of experience in information
technology, electronic commerce, strategic planning, and system implementation. This
experience encompasses all levels from small businesses to major corporations, and from
local projects to national implementations.
He received his bachelors degree, cum laude, in
Computer Engineering and Masters Degree, cum laude, in Electrical Engineering from the
University of Michigan. He has over twenty years of hardware and software development and
program management experience.
Mr. Parsons worked for Watkins Johnson Co. and
Norlins Communications before forming the Digisoft Design Group, where for 11 years his
firm provided design and management assistance to major defense and communications
contractors throughout the United States.
Ron then worked as a Program Manager for the
National Institute of Standards (NIST) and Technology in an industry government program
focusing on Electronic Commerce of electronic components that served as an initial focus
for the Smart Valley CommerceNet project in California. He then obtained the position of
Associate Director for Information. Infrastructure, for the NIST Manufacturing Extension
Partnership. There he worked with small businesses to plan and implement the appropriate
telecommunications and information infrastructure pieces to increase their productivity
and overall global competitiveness.
